Artificial Intelligence in Horizon Europe calls: an interdisciplinary challenge, February 25, 2026
As AI becomes essential for global competitiveness, Europe is working together to strengthen its technological, industrial, and ethical foundations through the EU AI Action Plan—a coordinated effort to boost AI uptake, prepare for socioeconomic changes, and ensure trustworthy, human-centric development.
This event supports these goals by connecting experts across disciplines and helping applicants prepare strong Horizon Europe proposals that integrate both SSH (Social Sciences and Humanities) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) expertise. The brokerage event brings together researchers, innovators, and stakeholders working on AI-related topics across Horizon Europe, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.
It is designed for anyone preparing proposals that require AI expertise and meaningful SSH involvement—across fields such as health, digital technologies, climate, environment, and more. A dedicated pitching session will also be open to both SSH and STEM experts, enabling them to present their skills, project concepts, and research interests. This session helps participants quickly understand the range of competencies involved and identify suitable partners for future collaboration.
